Introduction: Internal Medicine is one of the fundamental divisions of medical sciences, it is responsible for health and illness in adolescents and adults. With technological advances in recent years, they have delivered new cost-effective diagnostic tools, treatments and devices that improve the quality of life
Development: A review article was made of the documents of scientific societies dedicated to advances in research, diagnosis, and treatment of the different divisions of Internal Medicine, as well as systematic reviews and current scientific studies in SCOPUS, WOS and Pubmed. and Google Scholar in both Spanish and English
Practical applications: In recent years, with the emergence of artificial intelligence, it presents new promising tools for stratification and diagnosis, together with advanced data analysis, they will be fundamental in medical research.
Conclusions: In last years, scientific advances in medicine have allowed people to improve their quality of life. Internal Medicine allows for comprehensive patient care and with the advancement of its different divisions, it presents better cost-effective diagnostic methods; new safe and effective treatments. With the application of new current emerging tools, it will allow us to take a step towards a new future for patient care in internal medicine.
